Hi, I'm Cayce.
I write mystery and suspense about Midwestern women.
In my work I like to explore female friendships, complicated family dynamics, and characters who use wry humor to protect a fragile heart.
I've been a writing tutor, a news monitor, a graphic designer, a feature writer for a women's magazine, and an associate editor for a literary magazine. I currently work in science communication and public engagement at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I started consistently writing fiction in 2015, something I'd always wanted to do. I spend the rest of my time with my kids, cooking, traveling, stalking the shelves at my local library, enjoying tv and movies, and attempting arts and crafts of all kinds. I love talking about writing and publishing to anyone who will listen. I live in Madison, Wisconsin, with my husband Mike, two crazy boys, two parakeets, and one goofy Australian Shepherd named Confetti.
